Meet Our Instructors

Perlizbeth De Leon is a dance and visual arts instructor based in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a degree in Art Education (K–12) from Appalachian State University and brings over seven years of professional dance experience to her teaching. Originally from North Carolina, she moved to Atlanta in 2019 and has contributed to arts education programs at Artspace NC, the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, and the Carrboro ArtsCenter. As a performer, Perlizbeth has worked on projects with major musical artists including Usher, LISA, Travis Scott, Jack Harlow, B.o.B., Saucy Santana, and more.

Perlizbeth teaches "Beginner Hip Hop" on Mondays and youth art programs on Fridays.

Nessa Paints is a traditional acrylic artist, who has always loved art. She began drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil, and later discovered her love for painting in high school. She studied biology, but minored in fine arts at the University of Georgia. It was there that she turned her passion into a career, and began selling her artwork at shows, and opened an online shop. Nessa has been an anime fan since she was 10 years old, and quickly found her love for creating fan art.

Nessa will be teaching "Anime Acrylics," "Landscapes" and "Sonny Angel Workshops" on Thursday evenings.

TAZTHEARTIST is an Atlanta, Georgia based multidisciplinary artist focusing in the mediums of tattoo artistry, oil painting, and mixed media collage. She studied fine arts with a focus in oil painting at the University of South Alabama, & it was in school that she found her love of creating from the organic human form. She also has a background and immense love for the creative and performing arts. She founded To Be Inspired: Creative Figure Drawing Sessions in 2022 to bridge the gap between traditional still life and kinetic art to maximize creative potential and inspire individuals of all creative levels, mediums, and cultural backgrounds to explore and channel their own creativity through the convergence and expression of life through dance, music, and visual arts.

Taz will be hosting "To Be Inspired: Live Figure Drawing rotating Tuesday evenings.

Andrew Blooms is a Taiwanese-American artist, tattooer, designer and musician currently working in Atlanta, GA. Blooms’ artworks draw inspiration from traditional Asian painting, printmaking, and tattoo and aims to reinterpret these traditional values through the lens of contemporary art.

Andrew will be teaching Traditional Chinese Watercolor painting on Saturdays.

Amy Pho is a ceramicist, actor, and fishmonger in training. They spend their time making mud animals for Sad Frog Studios, playing with spiders, making stir fry, and writing screenplays. Check out their ceramic work @sadfrog.studios.

Amy will be teaching Polymer Clays with Tifffnay! on rotating Tuesday evenings.

Also known as Tiffany Weng, she’s a Chinese-American designer, illustrator, and content creator who loves to make little trinkets by hand! When she’s not illustrating and sculpting, she’s on YouTube under the name Tiffany Weng and likes to vlog her art process and life happenings!

Art Class FAQ

Art & dance classes range anywhere between $15-$75 depending on the course instructor and materials/time commitments of the class.

Please refer to the specific class you are interested in to see the price of the course.

We get this question a lot, and for good reason! The art world can seem intimidating at first, but we are here to show you that anyone who is willing is able to create art.

This experience is about opening up yourself to experience the joy of creating, and we want everyone to feel welcome, regardless of their experience.

A lot of times in art, the less you know the better, so don't let lack of experience keep you from taking a class!

Due to demand of courses and the first-come-first-serve basis of class seats, we cannot offer refunds or transfers of classes at this time.

We understand that things do come up, but we have this policy in place to respect the time of the administrators and instructors who spend a lot of time and effort preparing for each student in the class.
